LG will be showing off its newest smartwatch at the upcoming MWC 2015. The new LG Watch Urbane. LG announced its latest smartwatch in the run-up to MWC.

Smart watch from LGThe company’s new watch brings a luxurious high-fashion look into the industry that is full of staid smartchwatch designs, with square faces and fitness focuses. This new innovative and very stylish timepiece from LG is not made for gym room workouts or exercise routines; this new smartwatch is more suited for a lavish night out at the Ritz.

The new LG Watch Urbane has a look that is somewhat reminiscent to the Asus ZenWatch. It will be made available in either a rose gold color or a gunmetal grey hue. Both colors of the watch will be featuring a dark brown contrast-stitched wrist strap. Unlike one of its predecessors, the G Watch R, which came across as a bit chunky-looking, the new LG Urbane has a bit of a thinner design to it. (Although on paper, the 10.9mm specification of the LG Urbane is chunkier than the G Watch R’s 9.7mm).

The new LG Watch Urbane looks to be continuing the classic functionality of its predecessors. The crown is functional for powering the display o and off in “theatre” power-saving mode. The OLED face is round and can be adjusted to become extremely bright if need be. The battery life of the smartwatch is good and it also features hardware that is fast enough to take on the everyday Android Wear duties and tasks.

Other features and specs of the LG Urbane include its 1.3-inch P-OLED display, 4GB of temp onboard storage and its processor is a Snapdragon 400. It also features a newly-added ability, as it can be used for music storage when you’re out running with Bluetooth capable earphones or ear buds. The round display is very similar to that of a normal analog watch, and the LG Urbane should have some pretty sophisticated faces that you will be able to choose from also.

The new LG Watch Urbane will be retaining the standard strap lug size of 22mm. therefore you will be able to switch out any kinds of wrist straps you like whenever you feel like it.

There is no official price or availability information being made publicly available at the present. Hopefully, as the kick-off date of MWC 2015 gets closer, that information may become more readily available.
